Dear Blogspot,
I love how I started this blog in November of 2008 and you (blogspot) say it was really October of 2007. Kind of lame...
Equally lame is the amount of rain we have been getting. I like rain more than most, but this is fairly scary rain because it causes unsafe driving conditions. Wow, I sound about 50 years old. Seriously though, I have a 35-40 minute commute on a major road and I don't like driving 65-70 mph in pouring-Lloyd-Dobbler-I-gave-her-my-heart-she-gave-me-a-pen-rain. I just don't.
On a different note and a more positive one, it does mean we can ignore the leaves for now and anything that allows that is truly a blessing.
Jon and I bought new cell phones today and decided to go with a new company as well. The phones are very cute and rather high tech--we are suddenly feeling a part of the times again. Even though I am feeling happy with our purchases, I think it's quite a racket the cell phone companies have going. You have to buy all of the parts and then the activation fees, etc. Too much money.
On the topic, I read an article this morning that stated Barack Obama's barber charges $21 for a haircut. Seriously? In what world does it cost $21 to cut a man's hair? The salon in town charges $10 and it's a cute place. What else do you get for your $21, I wonder? I also feel I must mention, this isn't some new 'fancy-pants' barber he has switched to since becoming elected. This is the same man he has been going to for years. Odd.
