I haven't blogged in a bit, but I am back and with more pictures of the most beautiful baby! I don't care if Finnegan is a boy and I'm supposed to say handsome; he is BEAUTIFUL and I'm an empowered woman, so if I say he's beautiful, then by golly it works. :)
When my dad and uncles were little, my Nanny Wiley made them each stockings with their names on them. It became a tradition and as people married into the family, she made them stockings. She has now made over 25 of these all with our names and a Santa and then a different decoration for each person. My mom was first and then Carmen and I were next. My stocking is now over thirty years old and has held up pretty well. The snowman's scarf even comes off so that you can play with it. Jon received his stocking in 2007 after our marriage and it is sport themed. This year was Finnegan's first Christmas and so my grandma made him his stocking. I'm upset that I didn't notice the present blocking the toe of the stocking when I took this picture. She embroidered a gingerbread man that is ridiculously cute!
I needed to include this picture because Finnegan is rocking his first pair of overalls. Too bad they only lasted for two wears! I bought my nine week old son a size three months and thought his long torso could fit--boy was I wrong. Even six month overalls are tight in the torso. This is going to be one tall boy.
This is one of my favorite pictures of Finnegan. It captures his beauty and his innocence. He also looks like he's trying to raise an eyebrow as he manages a good mood despite his hatred of "tummy time."
